Easy... you can't call them black boards anymore (aparently), they now must be called chalk boards.... We have a few of those electronic lads at Uni or at least they are similar. there is something quite magical about having a giant touch sensitive scrren though i think!
damn good points pete! technology's a great thing, but there are few things that rile me as much as pointless inventions. blackboards worked for centuries. i don't see why it should change now. cretins.
well, come on pete, your handwriting isn't recognisable by most humans, let alone a poor little computer

I think Rach may have a point but also the point of interactive whiteboards is that IF (big if) used correctly they can add to learning because they allow you to do stuff that you can't on a white board ie starters for lessons where kids actually do "games" that help them remember what they were learning last week etc. However, overall I don't think that the bad application of technology makesa good lesson. Someone who wasa rubbish teacher b4 will still b one armed with an interatice white board.
yeh i kno, ther so stupid. we have them at school in every class room, even the art department. most teachers dont know how 2 use them, if sometimes funny though..
