Sandwiches

Sandwiches are awesome.

Seriously, they're really cool.

I salute the Earl Of Sandwich and the no-doubt apocryphal tale of his sandwich creating genius! Truly a giant among men, if we ignore the slight gambling problem. Nevertheless - a legendary gent.

Sandwiches are handheld, portable meals. They require no cutlery or crockery! They're quick and easy to prepare. They're as versatile as your imagination! You want a curry sandwich? Get those leftovers out of the fridge, bung them between two slices of bread, and Robert's your father's brother - curry sandwich! AMAZING!

Consider some great sandwiches:

• Cheese and pickle - an everday (for me anyway) classic


• Chicken and bacon - crispy bacon... mmm...


• Breakfast sandwich - peanut butter, banana and strawberry jam - calorietastic!


• Egg, bacon, cheese and chutney - as made for me once by my mother-in-law - fantastic

What more proof could we possibly need? Sandwiches are probably the greatest foodstuff known to man. So rock out with your bread encased lunch. Brilliant.

PS I did also look to see when National Sandwich Day is, but it's not until November the 3rd and I wasn't sure I could wait till then to share my enthusiasm for sandwiches with you all.
