Here we go round the mulberry bush...

My my, it was frosty this morning. Alison is back in work now, so I cycled to work. It was quite bracing, to say the least.

Our heating broke over the weekend, which was fun. Our landlord had to come round and take the boiler to bits. We were most grateful for the two oil filled radiators that Ali's mum had recently bought us. I don't think we'd have coped without them!

Anyway. I wasn't best pleased to get to work and find that the heating was broken here too! Disaster! Still, they had that fixed shortly after lunch, so that's OK.

It seems the pop-up problem has been fixed... At least, I've not seen any this morning. Let me know if you see any more.

Oh yeah... I finished reading The Da Vinci Code the other day. The ending was rubbish. I'd figured it out about a third of the way in, at which point the author covered it up so that he could deus ex machina it later and try to create some exciting surprise ending. I was not impressed. Still, it wasn't bad as far as mystery thrillers go, so it should make a good film when it comes out next year.

no no no! for the first time i got a porn pop up. I am not hppy with this. I would not like porn dvd's. and i can empathise with you in the cold aspect. manchester is freezing at the moment. seriously. it was -4 last week when i walked to uni...and then to make matters worse we first had a fire drill (thats a first in uni) so had to stand outside for 15 minutes freezing...then we cancelled our lecture 5 minutes in cuz the heating was broken so it was blasting out cold air. fun fun fun!

I'm not getting any pop-ups this time, whereas I got one every visit since they started, so maybe. It's cold here too. Particularly fun for biking to college at night. I feel bad having the house heated when there's only me home, so I'm trying to survive just with lots of tea. Sadly the computer is upstairs and the fire is downstairs, otherwise I'd just sit by the fire and type.

Today, I experiment with soup. If you don't see me again, tell Julie she can have my Terry Pratchetts*.

Well, it's absolutely freezing in sheffield, but that's not anything new. Plus there's the added joy of ice on roads/pavements + big hills = disaster waiting to happen.
I can't feel my fingers which is making typing a little difficult (especially as most of my coursework is programming based of one type or another at the moment). maybe i should put the heating back on... or wear gloves... or invent a nifty heated keyboard...
On the pop up discussion... i have yet to get any pop ups from your site, dodgy or otherwise. i'm trying hard to feel upset but it is instead emerging as smugness.
Ah i suppose i'd better get back to the coursework and the eternal joy of the argh-i-need-to-get-a-job-for-once-i've-graduated-or-should-i-do-a-phd-argh-argh-argh debate...
